Super Bowl Sunday is almost here. As a Michigander, youll have your own reasons for choosing one east-coast team over the other, but keep your eye on Quarterback Tom Brady of the New England Patriots as a Michigan connection. The former University of Michigan alum had a slow start for the Wolverines, but eventually managed to make a name for himself. According to an article in The Detroit News, Brady arrived at Michigan from California in 1995, but didnt start as quarterback until 1998 -- the year after the Wolverines brought home a national championship. As the article notes, Bradys struggle to find and retain a place for himself at Michigan helped hone his confidence and attention to detail: Love it or lump it, Valentines Day means showing you care. Unlike that romantic-wannabe holiday in October (Sweetest Day), there is no coming back from forgetting the significance of February 14th. So what route are you going to take? Candy? Flowers?
